LOCATION:
At Spirit Junction (my home studio) located between Garner and Clayton off Hwy 70, with the exception of a field trip to "Stained Glass of Raleigh" store located in the North Market Square s/c behind Red Lobster off Falls of Neuse Rd.

METHOD USED:
There are two methods or techniques used to create stained glass; leaded, which is used in church windows and very large projects or copper foil method, as is used to create Tiffany lamps. You will be learning the copper foil method.
PROJECT PATTERN:
Altho advanced and original design classes are in the works, "these" classes are aimed at the beginner and designed to teach the basic skills.
The first class, materials will be supplied to allow you to complete a sun catcher and you will have selected your next project from the pattern book supplied.
Between the 1st and 2nd class, we will have made a fieldtrip to Stained Glass of Raleigh and you will have bought glass for your second project. (If you can not meet the group at the designated time, it will be your responsibility to do so on your own prior to the 2nd class.)
DATES AND TIMES:
Scheduled dates are at the top of the page (if there are any at this time.) Below are the timeframes I am available to teach, however I am creating classes based on YOUR schedule. Email me at spiritj@bellsouth.net to have your name added to a sign up list. List ALL the times and days of the week possibilities that fit your schedule as listed below. I will notify you when we have met the minimum requirement of 5 students but limited to 7 adult students, requesting mutual timeframes.
Mornings 9:00am - 2:00, ONCE a week for FOUR weeks with possible homework
Mondays or Tuesdays or Wednesdays or Thursdays or Fridays or Saturdays
Afternoons 12:00 - 4:00, ONCE a week for FIVE weeks with possible homework
Mondays or Tuesdays or Wednesdays or Thursdays
Evenings 6:15pm - 9:30, TWICE a week for THREE weeks with possible homework
Tuesdays and Thursdays only
REGISTRATION:
After I have notified you of class dates, you will formally Register via email to spiritj@bellsouth.net
(it would be helpful if you put GLASS CLASS REGISTRATION in the subject line and mention what dates/times you are registering for.)
COST FOR CLASS AND USE OF TOOLS DURING CLASS:
Group classes - $75 consisting of 5-7 adult students
Semi-private class - $180/ea for two adult students
Private class - $375
All group classes are based on 20 hours of instruction time with possible homework if needed.
Tools and supplies, except for glass, are provided FREE during class time.
COST OF GLASS:
$10-$20. To help you keep this cost to a minimum, consider sharing the cost of a mutually agreed upon piece of glass with another student. I will give you instruction and guidance on glass selection on the first night of class. Details upon registration.
(Do not buy glass prior to class.)
PAYMENTS and REFUNDS:
Payment is not due till after I have sent you a class confirmation.
A $20 deposit payable through PayPal or check received two weeks prior to class is required to hold your spot. The deposit is non-refundable if you withdraw and I am unable to fill your spot.
The balance is due the first night of class.
No refund will be made if you miss a class, however I will make every attempt to catch you up during the following class, as long as it does not distract from the other students or instruction time.
(No guests or children can be accomodated.)
$10/hr fee will be charged for extended time beyond class time.
Tool rental and deposit for use outside of class time is negotiable, depending on availability.
CANCELLED CLASSES:
A FULL refund will be given you if I need to cancel classes prior to the first class.
Pro-rated refunds will be given you if I need to cancel a single class and if an alternate mutually agreed upon makeup time can not be arranged.
